Join us in Beirut! Experience the history of human civilization from its birth to present day!

WPO EuroChapter Meeting, 9 - 11 September 2011

After having been champions of the highly successful EuroChapter Meeting in Paris, we are delighted to again host an exquisite event in Beirut - the city that has often been called the Paris of the East.

Through an exclusive event we will offer you a truly intimate insight into this magnificent place located in the Western part of the Fertile Crescent, the cradle of human civilization.

A pre-academy in Byblos, possibly the longest inhabited city in the world, will lead up to the meeting in Beirut. Together we will be immersed in the incredible multicultural richness of Lebanon’s capital, the most religiously diverse city in the Middle East. A two-day post-academy in Damascus will conclude the event. As a historical heritage site, UNESCO selected Damascus three years ago as the Arab Capital of Culture. True to the principles of EuroChapter events, this event promises to be world-class and an excellent value. Additionally, this exquisite multicultural event is something you can only experience through the EuroChapter. We could not do this without the dedication and support of our good friends, May and Faysal El Khalil (WPO Lebanon).

We ask you to join us in September on our quest to explore the dazzling riches of these ancient cities.

Warm regards,

Christina and Tord Magnuson

*Note: Please be assured that the political situation in Beirut is stable and Beirut is far from what is happening in other parts of the world. We do not foresee any problems arising. Everyone’s safety is a priority, so should we suspect anything that will jeopardize that, we will not hesitate to relocate the program.
