Join us for a real "only-­in-­EuroChapter" experience. Get the opportunity to meet some of the important local political and economical experts of Iceland.

Be able to visit unique world phenomenons like:

  • the Blue Lagoon
  • the Geyser geothermal area
  • Gullfoss, the largest waterfall in Iceland, or

Fri, 7 Sept

Pre-Academy in Reykjavik (user-pay, arrivals on the previous day)

8.30 Morning program:

Option 1. Nature Photo Tour guided by a local professional photographer

Option 2. Visiting the Laxnes Horse Farm, a family business with special Icelandic horses, followed by a tour at the museum of the Nobel Prize-winning writer, Halldór Laxness.

12.30 Lunch at the Harbor Restaurant


14.00 Guided walking tour in the city center of Reykjavik (including visit to Reykjavik Art Museum & Hallgrímskirkja Church Tower)

16.30 Back to the hotel

09.00 Departure for Golden Circle Tour by super trucks

First we will be visiting the Thingvellir National Park, a rift valley, where the world's first Parliament was also established in 930. We will then stop at two natural wonders: the world-famous Geysir and the Gullfoss, Iceland's famous and Europe's most powerful waterfall.

13.30 Lunch at Hunting Lodge

15.00 Lecture on the Island Economy by Gamma

17.00 Arrival back to the hotel, Free time

19.00 Casual Dinner at the Fisch Company Restaurant

Flights

Reykjavik is easier to reach than you would think! There are flights every day from London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Stockholm by both budget (Easy Jet, Iceland Express) and regular airlines (Iceland-air). There are also flights from Oslo, Helsinki, Berlin, Manchester, Copenhagen, Gothenburg and US cities like Boston, New York and Washington.

Airport Transfer:

The hotel does not offer this service, but there are several possibilities we can suggest you:
- Flybus that can take you to the Hilton for 2500 ISK (approx €18) per person. https://www.flybus.is/flybus
- Taxi for about €95 per car.
- Private chauffeur for about €200 per town-car arranged by our local organizers.

Fees and Registration

Keeping with the EuroChapter's tradition of excellent value events, the main meeting costs only €990/person (Friday evening to Monday morning, 7-10 Sept). The fee includes the complete program (meals, education and social activities), but excludes hotel, flight and airport costs. Supplement for non-EuroChapter members: €300.

The one-day Pre-Academy downtown Reykjavik costs €185/person (Friday, 7 Sept).
